Writing About Things Worth Writing About

Mark Twain said: "Write what you know."  While some writers might disagree, Twain's advice has been central to the several books you will find here, as well as numerous articles written and published elsewhere.   Being a retired police officer and law enforcement educator, there has been no shortage of ideas and information to stimulate sitting down at the keyboard.  Dan's recent work has been inspired by his journey through the world of prostate cancer, and by the decision he and Bonnie made to "rightsize" their lives.  Having had the good fortune to work as a police officer at Woodstock, the upcoming 50th Anniversary of that iconic event has struck a literary nerve as well.  There are many more thoughts to be explored, and the blog found on here will be one more very helpful vehicle for sharing and learning.
